Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy regulates the treatment of personal data that is likely to be collected through access by users to www.amladvogados.pt (or website). AML– Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL is the entity responsible for their respective treatment. The provision of personal data requires knowledge and acceptance of the conditions contained in this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Use. The information regarding the Privacy Policy is contained in the following
paragraphs.

A) Collection and Processing of Personal Data
Mere access to the site by users does not imply the provision of personal data. Certain features may require such provision, and in such cases, the data collected may be processed by AML. In users' contact requests, the personal data provided are processed, with consent, for contact management, providing clarifications and other requested information.

B) User Rights
The user can request access to personal data, request its rectification or elimination, can oppose its treatment and can also obtain confirmation that they are subject to treatment, being provided, if necessary, a copy of the themselves. The user may, at any time, revoke the consent given. Any user can submit a written request to AML's contacts, directing his request by email to aml@amladvogados.pt or by post to Avenida Barbosa du Bocage, no. 87, 3rd floor, 1050-030 Lisbon, Portugal. AML reserves the right to update and change the terms of treatment of personal data, as long as these changes are announced on the website.

C) Use of Personal Data
The personal data collected by AML are treated in accordance with the applicable legislation and maintained for the applicable legal term and only for the purposes for which they werecollected. The user can exercise the right of opposition, the right to erase or withdraw the consent given.

D) Communication of Personal Data
AML may transmit personal data when using other entities to provide certain services, as this may imply access to personal data. Whoever AML subcontracts, undertakes to process personal data, observing our instructions and under the terms of the subcontracting agreement. Third parties, when necessary, in the light of the applicable law, in compliance with legal obligations and court orders, deliberations or decisions of the control authorities or in response to requests
from public authorities, may transmit personal data.

E) Security
AML is obliged to protect users' personal data against unauthorized access through the use of security systems and is committed to preventing unauthorized access to data, improper use, disclosure, loss or destruction. It is the users' responsibility to ensure that the devices used to access the AML website are
protected from potentially harmful software

F) Cookies and Links
The AML website uses cookies to determine interest and the number of accesses. Cookies allow more efficient navigation on the website. Your refusal by the user may affect the browsing experience on the site. Site links may lead to other sites, but AML is not responsible for their content. AML is also not responsible for damages resulting from viruses that can infect the user's computer through the transfer of content or similar process.

 

G) Data Transfer
AML may transfer personal data to third countries, for the purposes set out in this Policy, which do not belong to the European Union, for which there is no adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission. AML is committed to adopting the appropriate security measures to guarantee the confidentiality and protection of personal data. H) Complaints
The user can complain to the competent supervisory authority if he believes that the processing of his data by AML has violated the current legal regime.
